The southeastern Interlake is a bustling landscape of sandy shorelines, abundant forests, rich wetlands, and thriving communities.
Fisher River Cree Nation, Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation, Peguis First Nation, and CPAWS Manitoba are working together to keep the Interlake’s lands and waters healthy, for today and for future generations.
We want to ensure the forests are full of moose to hunt, the rivers are clean and teeming with fish, and Lake Winnipeg’s shoreline remains a place to build sandcastles and teach our children to swim.
This initiative aims to develop a regionally-tailored conservation plan which will support sustainable economic developments.
Take action to protect one of Manitoba’s most popular destinations. Tell the provincial government you care about the health of the Interlake.
